Congratulations Jack Lanciano and Penny Little whose Landgate scholarship will allow them to attend Curtin Ignition 2019

Again this year, Landgate offered two scholarships to attend the celebrated Curtin Ignition program. Ignition is a 5 1/2 day intensive commercialisation education program, taking participants through a range of skills practice. Attendees will closely examine their idea, make confronting decisions on next steps and develop an implementation strategy, all under the tutelage of highly respected innovators and entrepreneurs.

Jack is at the very beginning of his idea which he believes will help riders to connect and advise each other on issues of destination, trouble spots and emergencies. We don't want to say too much more before he's developed it further. We'll be helping him along that post-Ignition path.

Penny is further along her journey and thinks Ignition will help her plan next steps. Penny's idea 'Flanno' won the 2018 Startup Weekend for Social Impact and has recently launched a website with the tag 'Flanno, a streetwear label, making good clothes for a good cause'. Penny says 'I’m hoping next year, Flanno is able to make enough profit to make a substantial contribution to the organisations in the mental health and suicide prevention space'.

Congratulations again and we look forward to hearing and seeing some amazing commercialisation revelations for Jack and Penny during the program which runs August 25 to 30.
