HackED 2016

HackED introduces high school students in years 7 to 10 to the power of location information and technology and enables them to use it as part of problem-solving at school and as part of everyday decision-making in the work place in the future. Landgate's outreach program is aimed at igniting a passion for location information and technology in the next generation of young adults.

Developed in collaboration with the public, private and research sectors in WA, HackED builds on the success of other 'Hack-fest' events supported by the State Government, including GovHack and RIIT Unearthed.

The HackED program is also designed to promote the new Open Data Policy for WA, launched in July 2015.
